Venue Questions

What is the max capacity of Cedar Fox?

We can accommodate 125 guests. At this max capacity, you will have adequate space between tables and chairs, buffet space, a dance floor, DJ or music area and plenty of space for your guests to mingle.

Can we have our ceremony at Cedar Fox?

Absolutely! We have a lovely, covered heated/weather resistant veranda for year-round use. There is no additional fee to use this space!

How long will we have access to the venue?

We offer a full 13 hour rental period, from 10am-11pm, seven days a week. Your vendors have until 12:00 to break down. Per city ordinance, music and bar service must conclude by 10:30 pm. This will give you plenty of time for your good-byes!

Does Cedar Fox provide a space to get ready prior to our wedding?

We have a beautifully appointed suite with hair and makeup stations, as well as 2 additional lounge areas available for use by the bridal party. Our smaller venue, 210Cedar, which is just blocks away, is included in our Signature and Deluxe wedding packages or can be rented at a reduced rate for use as a Groom’s Cottage or additional space for your wedding party.

What is required for set-up?

Prior to your arrival, our staff will have all venue furniture completely set up according to your custom floor plan. Cedar Fox provides all the furniture you will need including 9ft. custom wooden tables, reception and ceremony chairs, high top tables, and buffets for food service. Please note that all set up of personal wedding décor will be the responsibility of you and/or your vendors.

Can we add our own decorations to Cedar Fox?

We want to make sure that your special day reflects your individual personality. Although we do have some restrictions, we invite you to decorate Cedar Fox and make it your own. We are happy to suggest professional designers to help you with your vision.

What does cleanup involve?

At the end of the event, we require that anything you, your vendors or your guests have brought into the space is removed. Cedar Fox does the rest! Our team handles all standard clean up and trash removal throughout your event. The venue is cleaned by a professional service between each and every event.

Will a Cedar Fox team member be there on our wedding day?

Yes, a Cedar Fox venue manager will be on site during the entirety of your event, to make sure that things are running smoothly and ensure that the timeline is being adhered to.

Are candles or sparklers permitted?

Candles are permitted, provided they are completely contained in a candle holder. Sparklers are not permitted.

Is there a sound system?

Yes, and all our preferred DJs are approved to use it. Those DJs who are not on our preferred list must come in for a walk through of the system at a minimum of 30 days prior to the event.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking and vaping are not allowed on Cedar Fox property.

Is Cedar Fox handicap accessible?

Yes, we are.

Is Cedar Fox dog friendly?

Yes, your pup is welcome to join you during photos and ceremony time. However, only service dogs are allowed inside the reception space.

Planning Questions

Do we have to choose vendors from your preferred list?

With the exception of our exclusive bar service providers, you are welcome to work with wedding professionals of your choice! We are happy to provide couples with our extensive preferred vendor list upon booking. These vendors have been chosen by Cedar Fox for their outstanding customer service and professionalism and we feel confident in recommending them to our couples.

However, any caterer or DJ who is not on our preferred list must be approved by Cedar Fox.

Do we need to have a Wedding Planner?

Our rental fee includes planning and day-of coordinating assistance. Most couples find this to be all that they need, but you are welcome to hire a full-service planner if you choose.

Are we able to host our ceremony rehearsal at Cedar Fox?

Your rental includes a 1/2 hour rehearsal which can be scheduled 60 days out when available dates are released.

Does Cedar Fox host any Open Houses?

We host monthly open houses for couples who have already booked their date and want to come back for another look. This is also the perfect time to show the venue to those who were unable to attend the private tour (including vendors).

Catering and Bar Questions

Can we bring in our own caterer?

You are welcome to use an approved full-service caterer of your choice – one that reflects your taste and budget. However we strongly encourage you to consider our exclusive list of catering partners. Each was selected based on their delicious menu options and impeccable service. They are familiar with our venue and we truly consider them to be part of our team.

There is an additional fee of $250 to use a caterer that is not on our preferred list.

What does full-service catering mean?

Full-service catering means that your caterer will be in charge of all food preparation, all food service, all setup and all clean up. They will arrive before your event begins and remain until well after your event has ended. The caterer will also provide all of your dinnerware and linen napkins.

Can we bring in our own alcohol?

We work exclusively with 11th Hour Bartending Services and Prestige Wine & Spirits. They work together to provide you with full bar service so that you don’t have to worry about a thing! We do not allow BYOB.

Is there a food and beverage minimum?

No! We want to allow you the freedom to create a menu that fits your budget, whether it is simple, elegant or anything in between.

What Is The Average Cost For Food And Beverage?

While the cost for food and beverage can vary widely based on your menu choices, the average cost of a full-service buffet dinner is $55 – $70 per person and $80 -$100 per person for plated. Our couples spend an average of $25 per person for 6 hours of full bar service.

Booking Questions

Do we need to schedule a tour, or can we just stop by?

Can we hold a date?

We will hold a date for 3 days after you have toured the venue.

How do we reserve a date?

A signed contract and a reservation fee of 1/3 the total rental, is required to secure your date.

When are payments due?

Payments are divided into 3 equal payments. The first 1/3 is due when you reserve your date. The second 1/3 is due 6 months prior to your event. The final 1/3 is due 3 months prior to your event.

Is day-of liability insurance required?

Yes, Cedar Fox requires Day of Liability Insurance, and this is done to protect you! When you sign a venue agreement, you are assuming liability for yourselves, your guests and the venue during your rental period. Day -of Liability Insurance can help protect you from financial loss in case you are found responsible for any damage, injuries, etc. that occur during your event. Plan to budget about $120 for this policy. We are happy to provide you with recommendations for companies that provide this type of insurance.
